Filming Trip in Yangon, Myanmar

The LMC Spice Routes Project conducted an on-site filming and field data collection trip in Yangon, Myanmar from 10–13 October 2025 in collaboration with Kokkoya Organics.

The visit explored local restaurants, traditional spice markets, organic farms, and cultural landmarks such as Thengyi Zay Market, Kokkoya Organics Farm, and Shwedagon Pagoda. Activities included documenting culinary traditions, learning about spice usage in Myanmar cuisine, visiting community-based enterprises, and conducting interviews and visual documentation for the Spice Routes Experience report to support the development of gastronomy tourism in the Mekong region.
